![]() Well it just so happens that one of the original Dishonored’s primary mechanics is a teleportation option, so that kind of kills that argument, huh? In truth there’s a lot of Arkane Studios’ 2012 action game that we’d love to experience once again in VR, from the badass thrills of sneaking through the shadows to the sheer joy of mastering the game’s wide range of abilities. Many say that teleportation locomotion, though uncomfortable, is unimmersive and distracting when trying to explore a new world. Now more than ever we need a VR Nazi beatdown simulator, and this is the perfect venue for it. With the standalone expansion, The Old Blood, also available and a sequel on-track for later this year we’d love to see developer MachineGames take a page from id Software’s book and remix some of its pre-existing content with some unique locations to give us a takes of Wolfenstein in VR. ![]() As one of the first true first-person shooter games, this series has immortailized itself in gaming history, and recently made a triumphant return with 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order. You’ll know videogaming has truly come full circle when there’s a full, immersive Wolfenstein game in VR. But between its own internally developed hits and games it publishes from other studios, there’s plenty of other games - both new and old - we’d love to see made for VR. Playing both games in VR is something of a dream come true for pretty much anyone that’s been following the industry for the past few years, and it shows that the studio isn’t afraid to embrace this unproven new technology. Perhaps more exciting, though, are the two VR ports of its biggest games of recent years Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The first is Doom VFR, a new game that combines new locations and some seen in 2016’s fun as hell shooter that promises bloody thrills. Later this year, the publisher is releasing not one but three high-profile titles based on its most popular IP. Even if you Do, OpenVR would enable you to play at a higher resolution and with more texture mods MUCH more smoothly.Bethesda is giving VR gamers what they’ve been begging for. Have you ran tests to see what your framerates are? - IF they're a Solid 60+ That's Awesome (But I find it Hard to believe), if you don't know these things perhaps your not aware nor of how much better of a performance feels running through OpenVR. You use SteamVR through Oculus with SkyrimVR and get 100% No Studder or framrate drops? If you do: what fps are you getting, and what is your set-up? Mainly what version of Oculus, SteamVR, SkyrimVR, and SS % (supersampling in game or via steamVR settings) are you running?. I use the oculus with steam vr and i doesnt encounter any issues If you already have a Rift the S may not be as great as you might hope for.But check out All the info & decide after then. In regards to Oculus S, Check out "Virtual Reality Oasis" channel on YouTube - He has all the info & hands on with everything (Including Oculus Quest) as of a couple of days ago. if you get it you will need OpenVR to bypass the steamVR system and run it directly from your RIFT Software which works Wonders and That^ is free. If one runs the game through steamVR then it is poorly optimized and many bad things 's runable but not playable IMO because of interferance from steamVR Wrecking framerates. ![]() It is not out on the Oculus Store and must be purchased via Steam. If any of you have better info, on the Rift-S release date, please advise. Given that the new Oculus-Rift-S is forcast to go on sale sometime this Spring, I'm waiting for it before persuing the new Skyrim-PC-Oculus.Īs far as I can tell, the best that can be done, to ascentain the release date for Rift-S, is to join their website for updates (which I did). Skyrim VR for PC and Oculus-Rift is believed to be available now (Apr 3 release date).
